ARC Staff has an approved on-hire labour agreement, as authorised by the Department of Home Affairs. This means we can sponsor overseas skilled workers on the Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Subclass 482 Visa and on hire them to businesses like yours. We will handle the recruitment, sponsorship, visa compliance and payroll.

That means you can bring in experienced, job-ready talent without the burden or ongoing compliance responsibilities of becoming a sponsor yourself.

Key requirements of 482 Sponsorship

This service is designed for employers who can’t find the right skills locally and need to look overseas to fill a genuine vacancy.

Our team handles the labour market testing process to show there are no suitable candidates available within Australia. For someone to be eligible, they’ll need to:

Be able to demonstrate the skills and experience required for the role

Hold the relevant trade licences or professional registration (if required)

Be offered a salary that meets or exceeds the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT), plus 20%*

Meet English language, health, and character requirements

Provide police checks for any country they’ve lived in for 12 months or more over the past 10 years

*The TSMIT +20% figure currently sits at close to $90,000 in 2025 — but this may change, so we recommend checking the latest guidance from the Department of Home Affairs.

Once the candidate has been offered the role, we’ll manage their nomination, support their visa application, and handle all relevant contracts and documentation.

Already found someone overseas?

If you’ve already identified a candidate overseas, we can assess their visa eligibility and sponsor them under our Labour Agreement – then on-hire them to your business. This route is often much faster and less complex than applying to sponsor them yourself.
