About Our Client
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Dispatch Coordinator to join our client’s team in Horsley Park. This role supports a leading Australian-owned company that manufactures and markets innovative acoustic and fire-rated wall systems. Available immediately, this temp-to-perm position features a morning shift from 6 am to 2 pm, with a competitive salary upon permanent placement.
Your Role
As the Dispatch Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in managing dispatch operations, including:
- Coordinating and updating the dispatch calendar for delivery scheduling.
- Utilizing WMS and MYOB systems to maintain accurate stock records.
- Assigning stock to designated bins and ensuring timely stock updates.
- Developing product knowledge for optimal dispatch support.
- Completing dispatch documentation within agreed timeframes.
- Arranging cost-effective transport and fulfilling customer transport needs.
- Preparing and processing dispatch paperwork, ensuring digital storage in EXO/MYOB.
- Providing excellent customer service and handling dispatch-related calls.
- Following dispatch protocols, including documentation and photographing dispatches.
- Procuring reliable freight carriers and confirming bookings 48 hours in advance.
- Organizing the dispatch yard for efficient operations and QA checks.
- Managing scheduling boards, databases, and spreadsheet updates.
- Overseeing monthly stock takes and maintaining stock levels.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Solid experience with Combi or Reach forklifts (preferred).
- Previous experience as a Dispatch Coordinator or forklift operator.
- Familiarity with MYOB for order processing.
- Customer service skills and experience building client relationships.
- Previous warehouse experience, with logistics knowledge being advantageous.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Prior experience in a similar dispatch or warehousing role.
- A forklift license (mandatory).
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and a professional phone manner.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
- Flexibility, positivity, and the ability to work well both independently and in a team.
