ARC Staff is currently partnering with a well-established commercial plumbing company based in Williamstown, seeking an experienced and highly organised Finance & Office Manager to join their team in a permanent part-time capacity.
This respected business holds long-standing maintenance contracts with major companies across Melbourne and offers a stable, supportive and team-focused working environment.
The Role
This is an office-based position (no remote work) offering approximately 25–30 hours per week, with flexibility across working days and hours.
This is a broad, hands-on role where you will oversee bookkeeping, payroll, scheduling and general office administration. You will play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

Processing weekly payroll
-
Accounts receivable and weekly invoicing
-
Bank and credit card reconciliations
-
Preparation and lodgement of quarterly BAS and monthly PAYG
-
Managing superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, Incolink and LeavePlus payments
-
Answering incoming calls and handling general office enquiries
-
Liaising with key clients regarding quotes and purchase orders
-
Coordinating workflow and scheduling for plumbers
-
Maintaining training registers and booking required courses

General administrative duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar bookkeeping or office management position, along with:

Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)

Exposure to Simpro or similar job management systems (desirable)

Strong computer literacy
-
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail

Confident communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with clients

A proactive, “can do” attitude

The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
